Dental health in Spain faces challenges such as the high incidence of diseases like cavities and periodontal disease. A study on the progress of dental hygiene in patients was necessary to understand the situation and develop effective prevention and treatment strategies, promoting healthy habits and reducing the burden of oral diseases in the population.
01. The Challenge
Design a tool that enables dental hygienists to upload, quickly and easily, all the required patient information at real time for the study. Each hygienist could only upload information for 10 patients, and they will have both a first and a second visit to record the progress of their oral hygiene. Based on the mandatory fields that the study required to include, I organized and grouped all that information to develop a user flow reflecting the steps for the hygienist when filling out their patients' records.
02. The Solution
After many iterations, I reached the final design. We have also provided a database where all the information was displayed in a tabular format, providing, through a specific calculation, numerical indices for each of the patients' progress. Once the study period concluded, Dentaid would investigate and make relevant decisions based on these results.
